It only uses the ethernet card as a cheap interface to the computer's PCI bus. Here are the schematics: http://www.tablix.org/~avian/gnuradio adc.eps is the board with the A/D converter, FIFO buffer and supporting logic. I have this on a separate circuit board. It is then connected with a flat cable to a smaller digital circuit inside the computer that sits on the ethernet card. 8139d_if.eps is the circuit that is connected to a RTL8193D-based ethernet card. The connector on the top left is plugged into the Boot-ROM socket. You also need to connect the circuit to the INTA# line on the card. I also have some basic Linux drivers written for this thing.
