I see... 1. The consumer 2. The developer 3. The developer's owner 4. The re-developer 5. The re-developer's owner 4. The re-re-developer 5. The re-re-developer's owner BSD licenses protect the re-developer's owner, at the expense of everyone else. GPL protects all but the "owners" at the expense of the "owners". Proprietary licenses protect the owners at the expense of everyone else. They do not protect the developers. (People can be owned????) Only GPL protects both the consumer and developer (and all re-developers). BSD licenses exist for the purpose of transferring technology to the proprietary, enabing a proprietary fork. _______________________________________________ geda-user mailing list geda-user@moria.seul.org http://www.seul.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/geda-user
