I'm flabbergasted. Why couldn't they accept metric units? Surely engineering even in the USA uses metric units, and did so by the 1980s? Instead, I've got a mish mash of metric and imperial stuff on my most recent PCB, three metric dimensioned ICs (a 0.5mm pitched TQFP and TSSOP, and a 0.4mm pitched LQFP), two imperial dimensioned ICs (SOIC and SOJ) and then all the discretes, of course, imperial footprints (0603, SOT-23 etc.) The most critical one to get right is that fiddly LQFP so the board was done on a metric grid. _______________________________________________ geda-user mailing list geda-user@moria.seul.org http://www.seul.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/geda-user
