Thanks for the report. This issue is related to a bug I'm hoping to fix over the next day or so. Basically - in this case, something went wrong with the attribute validation. It isn't supposed to allow a blank value. (This is part of the definition of a valid gEDA attribute). I knew about the crash on invalid attributes. I didn't previously know the multi-attrib editor could be used to create one.. I thought the validation was working, so I'm really glad you reported this.
