Can we take this thread onto geda-user.... Typically geda-bug is just used for automatically generated traffic from the source-forge bug trackers. If you open a terminal, and run gEDA (gschem / gattrib), do you get any error output on the console, or in the gschem.log / gattrib.log You'll probably need to get the debugging symbols, and run gEDA under GDB. Is this the Ubuntu packages for gEDA, or did you build it yourself? (If so, which version?) Unfortunately, you'll need to grab several -dbg or -dbgsym packages for a GDB backtrace to be meaningful. If you built gEDA it yourself, you probably only need the GTK, GLIB, LIBC debugging libraries installed. If you're using the Ubuntu gEDA packages, you'll need to install the -dbgsym versions of the gEDA packages as well. gdb gschem run <wait til it crashes> bt Paste us the output. -- Peter Clifton Electrical Engineering Division, Engineering Department, University of Cambridge, 9, JJ Thomson Avenue, Cambridge CB3 0FA Tel: +44 (0)7729 980173 - (No signal in the lab!) _______________________________________________ geda-user mailing list geda-user@moria.seul.org http://www.seul.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/geda-user
