Hi, I have a quite general question to the crew here, regarding the future fo "the life , the universe and everything" regarding geeklog.
I have been doing small additions and some plugins now, and I am about to merge the two biggest projects into one, getting a bit of a complex result: a kind of story-plugin that features a tree-based category structure, with ratings, keyword-assignements, translations, submissions and some smaller aditions, maybe also image-upload. Of course, when trying to do something like that, I would like to talk with the dev-team to see what is coming and reduce redunant work. I have seen the thread in the gl forum about trinity pushing some components of gl into plugins, and I was wondering how much of the current gl development goes into such a restructuring and how much into pushing forward. Are there any who oppose the slicing of geeklog into many plugins already in the 1.3 base? Or do yo just put in the most wanted features and leave the rest to gl2? How much does it make sense to develop a complex plugin? To be honest I would love to see geeklog sliced already now and see the different plugin-items beeing stronger developed by smaller teams, while the core is done by a different group. So whats the answer? 42? Oliver -- Oliver Spiesshofer email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] www: http://tokyoahead.com
