Hello Klaus, > Hm. 'do not like spread sheets. However, will see if I can look into.
point for you :) > What do you think about "custom commands"? You can create any editor > command you like. Maybe that is the functionality you are searching for? Look. I need to invoke an editor with parameters (mainly, the selected files) and options. What i don't want to do is, to create a separate desktop file for every variant of invoking that specific editor. I would be happy with a generic desktop file 'mconvert.desktop' but i need to call this with different options, from the viewer. For example, in gqview i had commands like external_10: "mconvert storeback (safe)" "mconvert --clear list --add %f; mconvert -r --storeback --fin where %f is the marked selection. Can i do something like this in geeqie too, repeated invocations ? How about conditional expressions (if - then) ? I doubt i can put that into a desktop file. But when i'd setup a wrapper which handles loops or conditions then i'd need to be able to invoke that with options ! It is a collection of different functions, and i have more such wrapper scripts for other purposes. If i put all functionality into desktop files then i end up with about 20 files. Sure, it can be done, it's just ugly somehow. > But don't await a instant answer the same day. Well ok but after three days ? anway, don't mind. > not my mother thong Zwar könnten wir auch deutsch schreiben :) aber das geht auf dieser englischen Liste leider nicht. So iss datt Leben !
