Di hitung2 memang lebih untung bagi California bila jadi negara sendiri, setiap
dollar yg dibayar California ke Federal (dalam bentuk tax) hanya menerima balik
sekitar 78 cents, jadi pada dasarnya hanya nombokin terus menerus tanpa habis.
Sementara banyak states yg menerima lebih dari yg dibayar, misalnya Mississippi
menerima $2.57 utk setiap $1 pajak yg disetor ke Federal, states lain banyak
sekali yg berkisar $1.10 - $1.20. Dus California adalah Donor State.
