depends on the version you are using. dc1394-support in Gem<=0.92 is broken (or rather: so outdated, that it does not support current kernels), but this has been fixed in Gem>=0.93 (still unreleased) so if you could test a recent snapshot of Gem (svn trunk), and confirm that it works (or not), i would be thankful. Gem's video support has greatly improved (under linux), in the last half year. fgmnadf IOhannes PS: for any further discussion, i would like to direct you to the gem-dev mailing list http://lists.puredata.info/listinfo/gem-dev, so other people can profit as well. fg asdrm IOhannes -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.10 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iEYEARECAAYFAk0sQmAACgkQkX2Xpv6ydvRtMQCcC06vExX48KDLvBaN2N6GS+DB BEwAn1gtF6+RzoFvxBhoNCU5MKVJtckF =41JS -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
