arch-x86: allow for booting the processor in any operational mode
Currently initState() of X86System always boots the CPU in 64-bit long
mode. This was not a problem so far as gem5 only supports a 64-bit Linux
kernel. However, to be able to boot other kernels on top of gem5 (for
instance
multiboot compatible kernels or FreeBSD), X86System should become more
flexible. This patch extends X86System by a series of switchTo...Mode()
functions that implement the procedure required to boot the x86 CPU in the
desired mode. initState() will leave the CPU in real mode and child classes
like Linux86System are required to call the appropriate switchTo...Mode()
function in their initState().
