Hey guys, I'm wondering if it's possible to pass parameters to the Linux kernel in full-system mode. If so, can you point me to how to do this?
Background: I've narrowed the x86 full-system IDE bug down to some incorrect handling of IDE channels in Linux, and I may have uncovered a fix (here: http://lists.netisland.net/archives/plug/plug-2010-12/msg00286.html). The basic problem is that the IDE disks that gem5 models are an old spec, and the Linux kernel 2.6.28 doesn't know how to deal with them appropriately by default. To test this fix will require passing a parameter to Linux for configuring the ide_generic module. Thanks!
