Hi, I want to use the Simple CPU to boot up for FS. I also want to use 2 cores to runt he simulation. When I use 2 cores to boot my system, it takes about 6 hours and it still running. From the frame buffer, and I can see it stops at some place. If I use 1 core to boot up, it will take about 1-2 hours. So could I know if I can use 2 cores to make checkpoint? I guess if we want to use 2 core , we should enable caches, but we should disable caches to make checkpoint, that's why it cannot boot up successfully, please correct me if I'm wrong.
If we cannot make checkpoint with 2 cores, can we restart the simulation from the checkpoint with 2 cores while we use 1 core to make checkpoint? I tried this and it seems that there are inst to be executed, but the frame buffer stay at the one pic and never change. Thanks for your time. Regards Xiangyang
