Thanks. But FS does not allow more than 1 thread per core right? For 2-way SMT for eg, I would need 2 threads per core. As far as I've seen in earlier discussions, SMT is not supported in FS mode. Has this changed recently? In the code, I see that the number of thread contexts is set to 1 in the FS mode.
I know I had a thread a couple of days ago about the same issue and got an answer that SMT works for FS mode. But on further off-line discussion with that user, I came to know that there were changes to gem5 only at his end to enable the SMT in FS. So if you could tell me if the latest gem5 FS allows SMT that would be helpful. Thanks.
