Hi Nizam,

We’re about to post some patches that add support for Plan 9 folder sharing
over VirtIO. I am not sure if this is exactly what you’re looking for, but it
would certainly help getting files in/out of the simulated guest system.

The patches should be on the review board shortly.

Subject: [gem5-users] loading benchmarks into kernel..

Hi,

I would like to "somehow" make my benchmarks accessible from linux (booted
on GEM5) without having to add my benchmarks into disk-image. Is there a
back-door means in GEM5 to do so?n

The problem i face is this... I typically checkpoint the linux boot. Later i
restore the checkpoint and run the benchmark (that is included in the
disk-image). However, i would have to reboot linux image and checkpoint it if i
add a new benchmark to the disk-image to calibrate. I would like to avoid this
rebooting and checkpointing. Kindly suggest a solution for this!

Thanks a lot,

BR/Nizam
