I have tried m5threads package, and used a SPARC crosstool at
http://www.m5sim.org/dist/current/sparc64_crosstool.tar.bz2
Unfortunately, it gives another error:
sparc64-unknown-linux-gnu-gcc -g -O3  -c ../pthread.c -o ../pthread.o
sparc64-unknown-linux-gnu-g++  -static -o test_stackgrow  test_stackgrow.o
../pthread.o
sparc64-unknown-linux-gnu/bin/ld: ../pthread.o: check_relocs: unhandled reloc
type 72
../pthread.o: could not read symbols: File format not recognized
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

Did I miss any option or package?

Thanks!

It looks like you're trying to build the m5-specific PARMACS library, which is
specific to Alpha Tru64, and doesn't work under Linux. I expect that the asm
file format is not compatible. That library is pretty hokey and deprecated
anyway.

You should use the PARMACS macros that map to pthreads, then either use the
native Linux pthreads library and run on Linux in FS mode, or if you want to
run in SE mode, use Daniel Sanchez's m5threads package instead (available in a
separate repository at repo.m5sim.org).
