I'm testing new kernel thread of Linux in m5 FS mode.

Current kernel thread is periodically print out message "kernel thread".

It works well after booting linux kernel.

However, when another application (one of the m5 benchmark) is executed, the
kernel thread never wake up.

The "kernel thread" message is not printed any more.

Then, if I kill the application, the kernel thread do print the message
again.

I use AtomicSimpleCPU and Atomic memory in FS mode now.

I think the thread is not rescheduled after timeout.

I believe that m5 FS mode support multiprogram workload.

Why m5 does not wake up thread kernel thread?

Could anyone can explain about this problem?

Thank you in advance.
