Hi Gabe,
I create a x86root.img and try to boot the disk image with M5 on X86_FS mode but
it could not boot the kernel
M5 compiled Oct 7 2010 16:54:24
M5 revision Unknown
M5 started Oct 7 2010 18:46:57
M5 executing on ongwenjian-laptop
command line: ./build/X86_FS/m5.debug configs/example/fs.py
Global frequency set at 1000000000000 ticks per second
info: No kernel set for full system simulation. Assuming you know what you're
doing...
0: rtc: Real-time clock set to Thu Jan 1 00:00:00 2009
Listening for pc connection on port 3456
warn: Reading current count from inactive timer.
For more information see: http://www.m5sim.org/warn/1ea2be46
0: system.remote_gdb.listener: listening for remote gdb #0 on port 7000
**** REAL SIMULATION ****
info: Entering event queue @ 0. Starting simulation...
2069461000: system.pc.terminal: attach terminal 0
and in the M5 terminal, the cursor keep blinking
==== m5 slave terminal: Terminal 0 ====
Where can I set the M5 simulator to point to the exact kernel location ??
Additional question and I just want to confirm
In order for the X86_FS to boot the linux kernel, is that the linux kernel
should be inside the x86root.img ?? I create the image with a linux kernel on it
,,,,,,,
