Is this SE mode or FS mode? If SE mode, does the ending thread call the exit() syscall when finished?
Is it possible that 1 thread finishing can call exit() and then M5 stops at that point (syscall_emul.cc():exitFunc)? Did you try running with the Exec traceflag on and figuring out what's the last instruction that each CPU runs? In any case, you'll have to do some digging to explain your results...
