Munzir we accept all those that get things done and are driven to bring forth results and accomplishments :-) I have no issue in adding you to be a maintainer on the 'distro' page as well (and I'll do it soon - make sure to start your log posts with [Mandrake] or similar), but I would like to stress that we should really follow the same procedure with regard to the various distros. Meaning, I highly encourage you to help Mr. Muhammad Alkarouri (the RedHat Distro contact) to better organize how to proceed first and foremost (even before looking any deeper into Mandrake). My thinking is mostly along the lines of coming up with a document and/or a process by which we can "note" (or 'certify' if you will) that a distro contains all that is required (or is available) to properly support Arabic. I'm sure there will be issues which are unique to each distro, but that can and should be dealt with later once the groundwork has been established on how we go about quantifying Arabic support in _any_ distro. Munzir, can you and Muhammad talk and agree on file formats, content, etc, etc so that we don't end-up with different formats/listings/content on a per distro basis ? We should, as noted earlier, end-up with a spreadsheet (or table) listing each distro's content and support level (akin to distrowatch.com package listings) with regard to Arabic. The spreadsheet should ultimately reside on various sites where people would care to see it (ie. it should become very public) such as, http://distrowatch.com/index.php?language=AR If done right, this will also put pressure on various distros that care about Arabs as a potential audience/consumer base to bring forth whatever recommended level of support you guys agree upon to be a minimum.
