Salam A. Haq, I was thinking of something along the line of what Djihed Afifi has done in his OpenCD Project http://arabicopencd.org/. i.e.:
1) OpenOffice (both in Arabic and English GUI). 2) Arabic FireFox. 3) The GIMP 4) Arabic Email Client 5) Arabic Media Player (OGG Vorbis for audio and OGG Theora for video) 6) Arabic Manuals and documentations but an Arabeyes distribution of ubuntu is a fantastic idea. Salam, I'm not sure if Arabeyes has a ready Arabic Linux distro, if not, the something should be done ;d Atleast we can get debian/ubuntu, install the "ubuntu muslim edition" meta package, which includes helpful collection of islamic applications, and/or interpet it into arabic, as most of it already done! Any suggestions?
