I found the RUTE (RUTE User's Tutorial and Exposition) guide on sourceforge.net today (http://rute.sf.net). I have read a number of HOWTOs, newbie guides and computer tutorials, but this one beats them all. It assumes practically no knowledge for a computer user and covers very basic information, such as bytes, files, and directories. It is intended for Unix/Linux beginners and it is very well written. I've learned a few things about console commands I didn't know just from reading the first couple of chapters. I strongly recommend this to any Unix/Linux newbies out there. You can also download the entire tutorial in either HTML or PDF format. John Hebert __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
