Nobody here in BR that I know of playing with it in a hobbyist/geek kinda fashion, though I have been seeing a number of pringle's can shaped antennas springing up around town. Mostly along I-10.
I'm hoping to play with 802.11 in a couple more months. When I start attending LAFIX meetings, I'll be bugging you about it. :) John Hebert -----Original Message----- From: Kris A. It may not be that painful of a down load for the 56K guys. Is anyone in BR playing around with 802.11 (wireless networking) over any distance? We have tooled around a bit with it here in Abbeville and would like to get more people interested in some alternative homemade antennas. Might help the 56K guys out...... kw ================================================ BRLUG - The Baton Rouge Linux User Group Visit http://www.brlug.net for more information.
