Edmund,

I've been an enthusiastic reader of The Register at
various times in the past. It is one of the few
websites that make me laugh out loud while reading
articles (www.theonion.com is the other). Brits have a
special gift for biting satirical criticism. But not
only that, the tech industry coverage is excellent. I
appreciate The Register's willingness to pull no
punches and that it does not cater to special
interests here in the US. And, they are free software
friendly.

I agree, it has been covering the M$ trial more
thoroughly than any US news source I can think of.
This is due, I assume, to the fact that they won't
lose any advertising dollars from M$ for reporting it
like they see it.

For BRLUGers who are not familiar with The Register:
http://www.theregister.com

Highly recommended.

John Hebert

PS: is the URL "www.theregus.com" a tip of the hat to
John Fowles? :)
