No problem on my 1.33 athlon running at 1.6 on an asus a7a266 with 256 megs of ddr.
And I'm building an athlon xp 2000 system for my brother with ddr, gonna dual boot linux and some flavor of windows. Apparently some of his instructors are pro-microsoft and don't even want to mention linux. I don't know if I want to buy into xp yet though. Here's a question, and keep in mind that I know nothing of the new registration feature of xp. If it sends info back to microsoft on your setup, does it recognize your ext2, reiserfs, etc. partitions and report that back to microsoft too? If so, that would be mildly humorous to me.
