I had 8.0 on my Compaq Laptop (Presario 1270): After the 8.1 replacement (not upgrade) I had to:
Reconfigure Sound (modules.conf) wrong module specified Reconfigure Network (modules.conf) wrong module specified Update the driver for my Winmodem support (RPM) Lost USB functionality for my Handspring Visor Prism (still haven't gotten it working - low priority) Other than that......... works pretty well........... Using Reiser FS for the file system. Kmail still blows up quiet frequently.
