I haven't had need to learn too much about wireless security so I haven't tried too hard. However, now that I have a laptop I want to be able to use wireless from LSU, coffee houses, or my own place. What exactly is the deal with security? If I'm at LSU and I check my email will everyone on that network be able to see my packets? Is there any kind of encryption between a wireless hub and a node? Or is it just the entire wireless network that is encrypted (albeit not very well)?
