We discussed it earlier and decided upon Debian. The automated dependency 
resolution was the main reason. Most of the machines brought to past 
install fests were low powered; 486s, Pentiums, etc. Distros like RedHat 
and Mandrake are more suited to higher powered machines.

We are open to other distros. I'll bring most of the CD Library so we'll 
have lots of distros to pick from.
