I'd like to help. It would be best to find out what use the schools have for them and give them a free software solution. This narrows down the definition of "functional", eliminates licensing hassles and gives the schools exactly what they want.
This What schools will you be donating the equipment to? Who are the contacts there? Russ Williams (sp?) seems to be "the man" for hardware at CCCC. I'd love to assist him for this project.
