if you want a windows based RSS reader check out Feed Demon (it may be daemon). Personally I dont' like using an RSS reader, I think it defeats the purpose. The recently updated features of some of the weblog sites out there (like blogrolling.com and popdex) are really cool. They let you know when your favorite sites are updated and then you go checkthe site.
