I had to replace a power supply. I forgot that even though the m/b is 64-bit, it has a 20-pin power input (plus the pin separate plug as on all Athlon 64s). I-'m afraid if I start calling stores they'll tell me they have the adaptor and it will turn out to be or 20-pin p/s to 24-pin m/b. I already have one of those and know the plugs won't fit, and molt of the stores are a long way from Spanish Town. Haven't found any such adaptors on the internet. Any ideas?
If the colors mean the name voltage on both I suppose I could splice so that the net p/s has two plugs and could therefore be used if this m/b predeceases it but it seems like a lot of work.
