I know there are several alternatives to OpenNMS, but I was wondering if anything watching this list uses or has ever used OpenNMS. I'm curious if there are some users around the area maybe interested in coordinating efforts and sharing experiences, optimizations, etc. This has been my first experience with network monitoring like this, and I find it interesting and challenging and the documentation on nms quite behind and lacking. But all in all a good experience.
