We have moved to a commercial solution here but used Spam Assassin for a while and it did a fine job. It doesn't give you the nice GUI to work with but it gets the job done.

I wouldn't mind a subscription fee for some sort of signature-based service or blacklist if there's a good one out there, but I would love to see a good open source framework to start with.
