We are a growing design and development firm focused on web-based
applications and software with a strong emphasis on client fulfillment.

We are seeking a bright, talented, communicative systems administrator with
an intermediate to advanced skillset.  This person will work from our Baton
Rouge, LA office and manage systems locally and in our collocated
facilities.  Short-listed candidates will be asked to complete a written
assessment of their skillset.

*Required Skills: *

   - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related
   field or equivalent
   - 3-5 years of experience in installing, maintaining and supporting
   servers
   - Experience managing systems that support development projects using web
   technologies
   - Familiarity with networking basics:
      - DNS
      - TCP/IP communications
      - Email protocols
      - HTTP/HTTPS
      - SNMP
   - Familiarity with information architecture and usability standards
   - Must have excellent communication and organizational skills
   - Must be very familiar with Linux, UNIX, and familiar with basic Windows
   domain ad Exchange operations.
   - Experience with scripting and high-level languages.
   - Familiarity using LDAP for authentication/authorization.
   - Understanding of security techniques.
   - Experience with secure mail server design, DNS administration, Apache,
   etc.
   - Experience working with revision control systems such as CVS and SVN.
   - Knowledge of monitoring frameworks such as Nagios, Big Brother, Cacti,
   etc.
   - Willingness to fully document all systems and processes.
   - Ability to work with a team and as an autonomous unit.

*Key Responsibilities include: *

   - Write code to help glue together various processes, interact with LDAP
   and databases, and perform other tasks.
   - Install, secure, and configure Linux, UNIX, and Windows serves as
   needed.
   - Install and configure software in production environments.
   - Install and configure network monitoring, trending and reporting.
   - Performance tuning when systems when needed.
   - Coordinating system needs with the development team, designing
   solutions for those needs, and implementing the final solutions.
   - Researching the best practice solutions to problems, and proposing and
   implementing solutions to those problems.
   - Work on a range of networking, security and Linux/UNIX projects.
   - Maintaining business systems for the company
