Not this go-around, but I think it’s a Big Deal. Xbox and PS4 are already 
converging toward being more PC-like, including the underlying hardware. I can 
certainly imagine buying a Steam box, like, today if it was within a reasonable 
price range.

I don't think Steam + big picture + custom steam consoles are going to kill 
anything this go-round, but what they might do is let mainstream gamers who 
grew up playing in a console-only world know that PC gaming is worthwhile and 
in many cases a much better option. Maybe by the next round of console wars 
something like this will be a contender?
