You are absolutely welcome to your opinion.  I personally don't care
whether it is one or 1000 mailing lists, as long as they don't keep
changing once I get the stinkin' rules set up.

In jakarta-commons, we see about 50 messages/day, which is about par
with many of the other lists that I lurk on.

IMO, either way is fine.
