Hi all,

I had a very basic question. I do not know how do the developer donate the code
to this opensource repository. However I think that is a very easy thing to
figure out (CVS or subversion, etc...).

The most important thing which, I am concerned is; Who defines and designs the
architecture for reusable components to fit with each other or with other
components ? Also who determines that its the best architecture ? Infact as I
have done quite a bit of research on various ways of automatic software
development where reusable software components is at the core, I would like to
make use of the reusable software components developed at apache commons.

This raises further more questions like, what is the level of reusability ? It
starts right from function/method level, class level, to the entire module
level. I have never seen the exact line which distinguishes what is the level
of reusability and why. Actually, I would like to know who are the people who
research these things and infact developers should be allowed to discuss such
issues as they are at the most basic of the topic. Developers would also like
to develop only when they are convinced with the earlier research and also
under the programming guidelines developed by the people monitoring this
project.

I hope all my comments would be taken positively.

Regards,
