Thanks Mariano for your help, and thanks Vijayasekar for your question.
The Quick Start Guide is a great way to start using lib-search.

To further configure lib-search, use lib-search-custom.xqy (most
importantly the $CONFIG variable) and run your search by passing your
search XML to either the search:search-results() or
search:search-summary() methods.

You can find example syntax for the configuration XML here:

http://developer.marklogic.com/svn/lib-search/trunk/docs/sample-xml/conf
ig-search.xml

There is also detailed documentation for lib-search configuration in the
Search Library Guide and Configuration Reference. I find it easier to
start with an empty configuration file and copy the elements that I
need, instead of starting with the full sample configuration file and
removing elements.

Did you have specific questions that you were having trouble with?

Cheers!
Chris
