Resolved. >From my esteemed colleague:
I ran this command to get a list of all the installed packages: pkgutil --pkgs-plist In the results I found the following line: <string>com.marklogic.server</string> I ran this command to remove it: sudo pkgutil --forget com.marklogic.server Here was the result of this command: Forgot package 'com.marklogic.server' on '/'. I then attempted to install MarkLogic 4.2 and…surprise, it installed just fine! > Date: Mon, 23 Jan 2012 20:18:22 +0000 > From: john.snel...@marklogic.com > To: general@developer.marklogic.com > Subject: Re: [MarkLogic Dev General] Can't re-install MarkLogic on Mac Lion > > I'm afraid I'm passing on second hand knowledge, so I don't know what to > do if it doesn't work :-(. > > On 23/01/12 20:05, seme...@hotmail.com wrote: > > Ok the result of him running that is: > > > > sudo pkgutil --forget com.marklogic.marklogicServer.postflight.pkg > > > > No receipt for 'com.marklogic.marklogicServer.postflight.pkg' found at '/'. > > > > > > Does this need to be run against a different directory?
