Attention XQuery Geeks:
I'll be doing a lightning talk at MarkLogic World 2012 (in
just a couple of weeks) on the topic of Stupid XQuery Tricks.
That's "stupid" as in "clever" or "amazing".
I've already collected quite a few, but if you know of an
insanely cool trick that you can make XQuery do, please send it
along to me and if I use it I'll credit you for it on the slides.
Code snippets would be nice but not essential if you can describe
it succinctly. I'd prefer pure XQuery where possible, but tricks
involving MarkLogic extensions are also welcome (obviously).
To build the suspense, please email directly to me - this
mailing list sets a Reply-To: back to the list, so change the
To: address manually when you reply. After the conference I
will make the slides and any responses I get available here.
("Thanks", "Merci")[if (fn:lang("fr")) then 2 else 1]
