Djaun, There are several ways, and which you choose will depend a lot on the diversity and organizational structure of your database.
If you assign collections, or assign document uris so that you can leverage directory queries, you can use the <additional-query> element to narrow your search by collection or directory. Or you have very homogeneous content, you could use the <searchable-expression> element to narrow the documents that the search runs over. (e.g. if you want to search over <book> root elements, you can use <searchable-expression>/book</searchable-expression> to do that, thereby filtering out the xhtml documents. --Colleen ________________________________________ From: [email protected] [[email protected]] On Behalf Of DJaun Maclin [[email protected]] Sent: Thursday, July 12, 2012 12:10 PM To: MarkLogic Developer Discussion Subject: [MarkLogic Dev General] exclude xhtml documents in results of search:search Hi everyone, Is it possible to exclude xhtml documents from the search:search results?
