Hi Geert, I understand that. But first, what rest-api function will I use to build the connection? Would I also be using the /v2/search?Second, after authenticating, I would want to determine the roles assign to the logged user so I can show/allow the user for certain functionalities in my app.

You typically build up a connection, and that is when you provide user/password.
