Good morning. I have a slightly different answer. Each clustered node that is
managing one or more forests in the database being backed up must have the
specified directory. From
http://docs.marklogic.com/guide/admin/backup_restore#id_95335, “The directory
you specify for a backup or restore operation must exist on each data node
associated with the database (it can be either a shared or unshared directory).”

Subject: Re: [MarkLogic Dev General] ML Cluster Database Backup Directory

It will save it to the D: drive of the particular host it runs on. Probably
better to have a shared drive that all the hosts have access/permission to.

In a 3-node ML cluster, if I specify D:\ml-backups as the Backup Directory for
my Documents database, which node's drive D: will the backup get saved on ?

Will it be saved to a different node next time the scheduled backup runs ?
