We store many large documents in our databases, and for various reasons we
cannot break them into smaller chunks on import. The document XML text varies
from 10MB to 130MB in size.
We have found that performance improves significantly when we specify fragment
roots in the database for these large docs. For many documents this works
great, but certain documents cause re-indexing errors when doing this, so we've
had to back them out of the fragmenting process. I have searched the product
documentation and mail lists and it's not at all clear what this error means or
how to fix it.
This is the error we get:
There is currently an XDMP-FORESTERR: Error in reindex of forest
TerraView40-paul2: XDMP-REFRAGMENT: Error refragmenting
fn:doc("/TerraView/Content/EC225AMM/1/pub.xml"): XDMP-PARENTLINK: Invalid
parent link node doc("/TerraView/Content/EC225AMM/1/pub.xml")//pub exception.
Information on this page may be missing.
NOTE:
It seems that it is S1000D publications with the "dmodule" fragment root that
seems to throw fits. Don't know what's special about this document type, but
all the S1000D manuals seem to cause the re-indexing to fail.
