I have successfully restored an ML 4 backup into an ML 8 server. I'm now trying to restore an ML 4 backup into an ML 9 server and not having any luck.
If I try to do a full database restore the forest directories in the backup are listed but their check boxes are not selectable. I have verified that the forest names match. If I try to restore each forest individually, I can start the backup but it fails with this error: Error: Forest label does not exist: /marklogic/backup/20171214-1/Forests/mydatabase-2/Label There is a Label file: # cat mydatabase-2/Label ??????????*h1?5???????????????? # _ So I'm assuming this is a version incompatibility.
