I am able to flexrep push local forests from ML4 to ML 9, so that will let me do what I want by dynamically managing the flexrep config on the master host.

My specific requirement is to sync part of a much larger database to a set of Docker-based servers whenever those servers are started up. Because the servers are not persistent I cannot use normal push flexrep and because I only want part of the database backup and restore is not ideal and I also want to avoid the reindexing cost if possible.
