I also noticed those problems. You may call external editor to editor script and run the file. The 2 right-most icon on the toolbar of editor window are provided for this purpose.
I uloaded jqt/android to the j801 page which uses qt5.3 beta, please try if the keyboard stopping problem persists. scroll bars are still small but the anonying text seclection seemed fixed. previously jconsole worked for rooted devices only, and I ssh into android to run that jconsole.
