On the remote browser I am getting the error that the server is not
responding.

When I view JHS on my desktop which hosts JHS, BIND_jhs_ is empty (''), not
'any' even though it is set to 'any' in config. Is that unexpected?

You said, "It might also be a firewall issue. Your host machine may be
blocking port
65001". Is that in the router or in the Mac? I have a Netgear router. My
Mac Preferences for firewall is and has been off.
