Eric-- I fully agree with your concern for the importance of NuVoc, which is why I had done as you recommend--working on a private copy, advertising for comment on a forum in mid-May, and waiting 2-1/2 months for responses beyond the initial 2-3 (favorable)--and further personal inspirations and corrections.
Over that period, I forgot that I had extracted only the half of the file that interested me. Again, my apologies. Ian Clark, who inserted the additional header references, has commented that it may be time to review the whole format of how we can best introduce newcomers to the language and the system, so that we should be interviewing some of them to find out how they see it. --Art P.S. I see that no-one has yet repaired my faulty link to the older version, which Ian felt to be advisable for old-timers like him. --A > Date: Thu, 6 Aug 2020 13:11:18 -0400 > From: Eric Iverson <[email protected]> > To: General forum <[email protected]> > Subject: Re: [Jgeneral] Ancillary pages disappeared?? > > Arthur Anger, > > NuVoc is essential and should not be treated lightly. > > For any non-trivial changes, please create new private pages that do not > interfere with the main wiki.
