During my sporadic sessions of editing Wiki pages, I have several times paused for extended periods before viewing or applying changes, and been greeted on return with a notice of data loss. It suggested that I may have been "logged off", but I have seen no evidence of that. I admit that there could have been a brief period of communication interruption, but it was clearly restored, to send the error message.
If there is a relevant timeout limit, it should be advertised, or raised substantially, or removed. If there is some other fault in the Wiki system, it should be tackled, and advertised until fixed.
