I've lost access to j6.02. I believe there is still code findable in the world (including/mostly gui code) that worked with j6.02 but was made incompatible by later versions. There may also be "fancy code" that worked a different way in 6.02, and where there could be an argument for making the 6.02 way the "right way", even if no spec was explicitly documented. I believe the dictionary was "perfectly updated" at version 6.02.
Another nice feature of 6.02 is (I'm assuming) lower memory consumption than later versions, and an extra snappiness (I noticed on much older computers).
